Simple and Delicious Homemade Apple Sauce

Apple sauce is a simple, delicious, and healthy treat that you can quickly make at home in under an hour. Using fresh, organic apples, (preferably from a local orchard), some honey if you like your applesauce extra sweet, and some warm cinnamon, you too can have this healthy treat any time of the year.

Equipment

  • 1 Large Pot
  • 1 Blender
  • 6-8 Individual Serving Containers

Ingredients
  

  • 10-20 Apples Pick your favorite
  • 1 Tbsp Honey Optional
  • 1 Tbsp Cinnamon Optional; To Taste

Instructions
 

  • Wash your apples thoroughly
  • Peel and core your apples
  • Cut apples into bits and place into a large pot
  • Place pot on stove on medium heat, and let cook for 15 minutes
  • When apples are soft, transfer pot to the blender
  • Blend until desired consistency is reached
  • Place into indivdual containers and let cool completely
  • Store in the fridge or freezer

Notes

You can use any apples you like, so choose your favorite tasting. 
This recipe stores well in the fridge for up to 7 days, or in the freezer for up to 1 year.
For our glass containers, we use Anchor Hocking glass storage containers.
